Personal Data Collection and Processing Statement

Purpose of Collection: Personal and organizational data provided through the “Macao Global MICE Partner Alliance Program” platform will be used for processing applications, verifying membership eligibility, identity verification, issuing and administering “Macao MICE Plus” privileges, disseminating MICE-related market and business information, and handling related administrative communications.

 

Data Controller and Processor: The Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute of the Macao SAR (IPIM) is the "Data Controller". As an online cloud-based service, the system's operations, data processing, and technical support are managed by service providers authorized by IPIM.

 

Data Storage and Security: To ensure data privacy and security, your data will be strictly encrypted and stored in a high-security data center located in the Macao Special Administrative Region. No cross-border transfer of data will be made, nor will it be used for other commercial purposes.

 

Data Sharing: To facilitate specific privilege redemptions (e.g., applying for hotel or airline discounts), necessary contact information may be shared with relevant third-party partner merchants when you actively exercise these rights for identity verification.

 

Right of Access and Rectification: In accordance with Law No. 8/2005 of the Macao SAR, the Personal Data Protection Act, you have the right to access, rectify, and request the deletion of your personal data stored on this platform. To exercise these rights, please use the platform settings or contact IPIM.

Warranty of Data Authenticity: Users must ensure that all institutional information, business registration details, and personal identity information provided are true and valid. If any false, misleading, or misappropriated information is found, IPIM reserves the right to revoke the user’s partner status at any time and pursue relevant legal liability.

Disclaimer for Third-Party Services: The various “Macao MICE Plus” privilege resources provided on this platform, including but not limited to hotel bookings, airfare offers, dining discounts, and retail discounts, are provided independently by third-party partner merchants. IPIM and its authorized service provider only provide an information display and connection platform, and shall not assume any direct or indirect legal or compensation liability for the service quality, product changes, operating status, or any redemption disputes involving third-party merchants.

Privilege Provider Undertakings: Privilege providers must ensure that the business registration information, privilege content, offer conditions, applicable period, usage restrictions, and other relevant information they submit are true, accurate, complete, lawful, and do not infringe upon any third-party rights or interests. If any information is incorrect, omitted, untrue, misleading, suspected of infringement, in violation of laws or regulations, involves inappropriate content, contains absolute or exaggerated promotional wording, or materially deviates from the actual privilege, IPIM and its authorized service provider have the right to reject listing, require correction, suspend display, or remove the relevant privilege without assuming any compensation liability.

Use of Privileges and Dispute Resolution: All privileges, offers, or hospitality arrangements have no cash value and may not be exchanged for cash, resold, or converted into monetary benefits in any manner. The provision, conditions of use, availability, validity period, and final fulfillment of any privilege shall be subject to the arrangements of the relevant third-party partner merchant or provider. In the event of any dispute arising from the application, redemption, or use of privileges, or from third-party services, IPIM and its authorized service provider reserve the right of final decision.

System Availability and Interruptions: As an online cloud-based service, this platform will use reasonable efforts to ensure stable system operation and data security. However, neither IPIM nor its authorized service provider shall assume any compensation liability if platform services, privilege arrangements, or related activities cannot be provided, are delayed, or are changed due to force majeure or unforeseeable circumstances, including war or threats of war, political or social instability, riots, strikes, social unrest, terrorist activities, natural disasters, fires, epidemics or serious diseases, government measures, border checkpoint or transportation restrictions, travel advisories, telecommunications or network failures, third-party service interruptions, or other causes beyond the reasonable control of IPIM and its authorized service provider.

Version and Amendments: IPIM reserves the right to interpret, supplement, update, or amend this Statement, the Terms of Use, and relevant platform rules. Any amended content shall take effect upon publication on the platform without further notice. In the event of any discrepancy between different language versions, the Traditional Chinese version shall prevail.
